You Couldn't Make This Stuff Up - Bed Bugs at the Library?

There's been a lot of talk about bed bugs lately. A Health Canada fact sheet says they can be found almost anywhere, including high-end hotels, cruise ships and resorts. Gross, but considering how resourceful these critters seem to be, and how much we travel these days, I guess that's not entirely surprising.

And now bed bugs seem to be turning up in unexpected places; like libraries. Now that is surprising.

My local library hasn't reported a problem so far, but libraries in Vancouver BC, Toronto Ontario, and plenty in-between, have faced problems and taken steps such as replacing cloth covered chairs with plastic or replacing carpet with vinyl flooring to combat these pesky pests, who seem to be difficult to get rid of once they've moved in.

Hmm, I'm thinking bedbugs are another reason to enjoy a good ebook.
